It’ll be a bit

This is what my white board looks like right now. All I can think about is that in 12 business days, I will be a stay at home wife. It’s the best 12 days of christmas ever.

I really can’t wait for Chuck to be my one and only boss. I can’t believe that my day will be spent giving him a home that will enable him to do all that God has for him. As we made this decision for me to quit, I really struggled with the belief that spending my day focused on my husbands needs was somehow a lesser role than working as a business analyst, supplying data to important people in the financial markets. The truth is that it isn’t a lesser role. But the closer I get to finishing, the more I really don’t care if it is a lesser role. It’s what I want to do. It’s how I want to spend my day. It’s what Chuck wants. I really don’t care what the world says. I’m sick to death of being stressed, of hanging my head in shame when I think about having people in my home, because it’s so messy. I’m sick of Chuck not spending time on the things he likes because he’s doing dishes. I’m sick of not having time to bring a meal to someone who just had a baby. I’m done.

That being said, the blogging may slow a bit as I wrap up things at work and get ready for Christmas. I’ll be back with much vim and vigor after Christmas!
