A New Season

Well, here we are. I’ve finished my projects, turned my work over to my co workers, and said my farewells. Christmas has come and gone, and now I’m sitting here drinking my second cup of coffee at 7am, from a real mug, on my own couch with my own set of housewifely plans formulating for the day. I’ve been dreaming of the day I’d be able to start my morning so peacefully. With no dread of the high expectations, pressure, and failures that would certainly be coming. My theoretical priorities are now my practical priorities. A continually clean and tidy home is no longer something I have to put on the back burner because duty calls.

I’m suddenly realizing that I have a ton of expectations for myself in this new season of life. I actually plan to spend a good chunk of today planning out all the things I want to do and figuring out how they should be prioritized. I’m really looking forward to putting together a plan for Elegant Economy Designs. I have dreamed up lots of ideas over the last couple months, but I’m looking forward to setting up some personal deadlines so that I can actually see some results from all this dreaming. It’ll be a fun challenge to set some goals and figure out how to accomplish them.
